Fire Chief - Lyon Township
Lyon Charter Township, a fast growing community located in southwest Oakland County, seeks a full-time Fire Chief to lead a dedicated 33-person paid-on-call department. This is an opportunity for a forward-thinking professional who has the knowledge, motivation, and integrity to guide the department as it meets the expanding needs of the community.
An Associates degree in Fire Science is required and a Bachelors degree is preferred; requires 10 years of increasingly greater responsibility in fire suppression, prevention, training, and administration.
Must have knowledge of local government organization and legislative processes, procedures and operations; budgets; record keeping; codes and ordinances; and supervisory methods.
Salary range: $50,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience.
