Turnout Gear Is Required For This Training

This hands-on training session provides firefighters and officers with the opportunity to apply evidence-based fireground concepts through live demonstrations. Under the instruction of Keith Stakes, Principal Research Engineer at UL's Fire Safety Research Institute (UL FSRI), participants will explore hose stream mechanics and their impact on water mapping, hydraulic ventilation, flow path management, and effective fire suppression. This interactive training is designed to bridge the gap between research and real-world fireground operations, giving attendees practical skills they can immediately apply within their own departments.

To maximize the value of this practical training, attendees are strongly encouraged to also register for the accompanying lecture, The Evidence-Based Fireground Playbook on Friday, September 18. The classroom session provides the scientific foundation and research findings developed over the past two decades that explain why these techniques work, while the hands-on session demonstrates how to effectively implement them on the fireground.

If you have not done so already, register for Friday Lecture Session HERE

Together, these sessions provide a comprehensive learning experience that will enhance operational effectiveness, firefighter safety, and tactical decision-making.
